Dear Dr. Kowalik,

I would like to thank you for the time that you have spent with me and explaining why I was having migraine headaches. Before I came to your office, I woke up every morning with migraine headaches for approximately five years (since the birth of my little boy, Rudy Jr.). I would get blurred vision and I cold not go out into the sunlight because it made my migraines worse. The only thing I thought could help me was to reach out for medication (IBUProfen/Advil) to help with the pain. The pain was so bad that it made it difficult for me to be a new mom.

My husband, who was seeing you for back and shoulder pain, referred me to you. Ever since I started coming to you in August 2000, I no longer get migraines and I am PAIN FREE! I feel that I can now be a better mother.

As you recall, my husband, Rudy Sr., was referred to you by a coworker/friend of his. Rudy had been experiencing a sharp pain in his back and severe shoulder pains and didn’t know why. His pain also started approximately five years ago. He used to wake up in the middle of the night moaning from the pain. He would have our son walk on his back and have me step on his back, which now we know it was not a wise thing to do. Rudy said that he was amazed that you went to the exact spot with the first adjustment, which made him feel better right away. I can happily say that he no longer wakes up in the middle of the night and now I’m thrilled to hear his snoring.

With seeing the results on Rudy Sr. & myself, we trusted you to exam and adjust our son, who is five years old.

We didn’t now about chiropractic care. All we know was to walk on each other’s backs and take medication, never getting to the cause of the problem, but making problems worse. Thanks to you and your knowledge, my husband, son and I am grateful and enjoy coming in, as a family, for one maintenance.

Dear Dr. Kowalik,

I cannot thank you enough for all the help you have given me, with overcoming my headaches. As you know, for many years I struggled with what I thought were migraines.

They would be so painful that often I could not keep my eyes open or think .properly. At times I had to turn out the lights, close my eyes, and try to sleep hoping that the pain would go away. The-pain would start from my neck, and migrate to my temples. In addition, I would experience stiffness in my neck, and ringing in my ears. I experienced this pain since I was eight years old, I am now twenty-one and no longer experience the headaches that I had for thirteen years.

Before my treatment, I resorted to taking Advil or Tylenol to help relieve my pain. Since the frequencies of my headaches were twice a week, I would take approximately four pills to overcome this. This would work to relieve the pain temporarily; however, this did nor solve the problem because it world reoccur the next week again.

My parents and family thought the migraines were caused by my eyesight since I was so sensitive to light when it would occur. I went to the optometrist and received glasses for a mild prescription ; however, that did not work. Although I had glasses. I would still experience the migraines.

The changes I noticed since coming to you for my regular adjustments, is that I do not get my headaches anymore nor do I have to wear glasses!

Dear Dr. Kowalik,

I wanted to take the time to thank you for improving my understanding of chiropractic and educating me on maintaining my spinal function through regular adjustments. In the past I sought chiropractic care to relieve pain from an accident or a fall. I wish I had known regular chiropractic care could have prevented all my recent suffering.

I suffered from terrible debilitating migraine headaches and had been living on Imitrex shots. My insurance even waived my co-pay to keep me out of the emergency room. I also lived on Alive and had bruising on my arms and legs. I looked like a piece of bruised fruit. This had never happened to me before so I was sure I was very sick. My doctor ordered blood work and then told me I was fine, however the aspirin had thinned out my blood and that caused the severe bruising.

When I came in to your office a few months ago, I could not move my head from side to side, drive my car or take care of my child and daily routine. That particular day, it was difficult to just get out of bed. I had terrible pain down both arms and numbness and tingling in all my fingers.

These problems were making me miserable and Dr. Kowalik and his staff ended up being the solution to my problems. In the beginning I came in three times a week. Now I am down to once a week after over two months and I no longer have migraines. Staying off Imitrex and Aspirin and getting rid of the bruising has been a big bonus. I am happy to say I haven't had to fill my prescription. I hope someone who reads this is able to quit using prescriptions. That is no way to live, not to mention the shots are expensive and painful but the headaches are worse.

The first few days I could move my head after leaving the office and had no tingling or numbness. The worst of my symptoms went away the first month and all other symptoms have since gone away and stayed away. My seven year old has also been seen by Dr. Kowalik and my husband will soon be a patient. I look forward to seeing him recover from an auto accident three months ago.

Many thanks to Dr. Kowalik, Mahtty and Donna for their encouragement and support. I tell all my friends and family about Dr. Kowalik.
