Dear Dr. Kowalik and Staff,

I want to write you about how much your chiropractic care has helped me with the pain I have been experiencing for the past few years.

When I came in for an evaluation in April 2007, I was desperate. I've been having chronic neck and jaw pain (TMJ) on the left side for many years. My neck has been a constant source of pain for as long as I can remember. My TMJ problem started after I had dental crowns placed on two of my left molars a couple of years ago. I was also often plagued by headaches. The pain and headaches worsened whenever I was under any stress. It kept me from sleeping at night. I had to take pain-relief pills at night just so I could get some sleep. I was buying economy-size jars of those pills. I was also constantly cracking my neck trying to relieve the pain but never succeeding. I was eager to get treatment for my pain, but I did not know where to start. When you started treating my husband for his lower back pain, he encouraged me to come in for an evaluation.

After a thorough spinal examination, Dr. Kowalik started my treatment immediately. Besides adjusting my spine and jaw, he educated me on the anatomy of the spine, the effects of a misaligned spine on other parts of the body, realistic expectations from chiropractic care, and behavioral changes to keep my spine healthy.

Now, after just two and a half months of chiropractic care, I am completely pain free. Surprisingly, even my TMJ discomfort dissipated. I no longer experience tension headaches, even when my stress levels increase. I have not had to take any pain-relief medication since my first adjustment in April. For me, the pain and headaches disappeared gradually until one day I realized that the pain I had was really a thing of the past.

I thank you for the care and services you provided. I have benefited tremendously from them, much more than I expected I would. With your continuous care, I know that I won't have to live with chronic pain ever again.
