Correction and Treatment

The adjustment or correction of a subluxation is the means of care provided by the Doctor. On this page, the doctor is shown adjusting the vertebrae in the lower back. The Doctor uses several adjusting techniques to accommodate various patients and their conditions. This includes gentle care for infants to seniors. The first adjustment begins to restore the vertebrae to its natural position and function. The soft tissues, the muscles and ligaments are stretched when the vertebra is in an unnatural position, so these tissues must have time to rehabilitate. Normally, proper muscle tone, ligament position, and the shape of the vertebrae will keep the spine functioning normally.

For corrective care, most patients will have a treatment period ranging from few to several months. Patients continue Chiropractic care on a regular basis to maintain their spine and nervous system from the impacts of rigorous daily stresses.
